The court’s decision specifically limited its impact to Texas, instructing that DACA in that state would only provide protection from deportation without granting work authorization or eligibility for driver’s licenses. However, current DACA recipients in Texas retain access to their existing work permits. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is expected to provide updated guidance in response to this ruling.
